I've enjoyed reading everyone of A Family Affair series rather it's short or long. Love the small town Magdalena where everyone knows everyone and who's new and who's not. But I was beginning to think there wasn't going to be a Wedding so I'm really looking forward to reading the next series to see whats going on in the lives of the people of Magdalena.Product details

I have been captivated by the "A Family Affair" series since book one. I can't wait to hear the next installment is coming out and always pre-order as soon as I am notified.
Being back in Magdalena was great, I loved getting to know these characters on a more personal level but...we really didn't learn anything new. No new clues were given and it didn't leave me awe inspired for the next one.
That being said, I have to admit this was the only book in the series that I was disappointed in.
I always enjoy reading books authored by Mary Campisi especially the series "A FAMILY AFFAIR". She always leaves me wanting to read more of the people in and around Magdalena.
I'm enjoying this series so much. I love the town,and the people. Extremely well written, looking forward to reading more!
Finished this book and as the other previous books in this series I did enjoy. I just like the characters. I will say this was not the best one in the series. Just felt it lacked a little something. I almost think it was written more in a short story form. Didn't get real in-depth with some of the characters as much as the other books. Then again it's just a quick easy lunch time read. Looking forward to the next one in the series.
If you are a fan of romance novels you will more than likely love this author. For myself - Not bad, but not great. This 3 star rating, and the previous comment, are for all books in the series. I rarely read romance novels, because they all seem to follow the same formula, but I was intrigued by the description of the first book in the series. Unfortunately, I bought all the books currently available in a package deal. All the story lines could have been combined into one book.
Love the characters of Magdalena. If a bit trite, the stories of this town and it's inhabitants give hope for a better world. A world where people take care of each other, guide each other and hope the best for each other. No intense, deep thoughts here. Just a good lazy read to make you feel better about the world. Enjoy.
